Bridgit is the patron of poets, writers and healers, and also the protector of mothers, hearth fire and home. Bridgit enhances and assists with prophecy and divination. Symbols of Bridgit are the color white, fire, oak trees and Bridgit’s cross. The cross represents the four seasons and the place where crossroads come together, the space between light and dark. Tie a white ribbon around a branch of an oak tree when you ask Bridgit for help. Bridgit is celebrated at Imbolc.
Bridgit is also spelt variously as Brighid, Brighit, Brigid, Brigit and Bride amongst others.
