How to get over a break-up


It’s hard when a relationship ends. Even if you are the one who ended it it’s normal to find yourself thinking constantly about him. No-one in their right mind would think that there is anything helpful about thinking about who he may be with now, about the enjoyable times you had together, about whether he misses you, about how to get him back or plotting revenge. It’s natural to grieve, and the best way to get over the relationship quickly is to take care of yourself and to believe that you will move forward in your life. Thinking that you can stay friends with a man who has hurt you is self-destructive behaviour. As they say, “If two past lovers can remain friends, either they never were in love or they still are.” Here are some things that you should think of to help you get over a man:
All the positive qualities that you will find in other men.
All his bad qualities (this is usually not hard to do J)
All the people in your life who love you and support you.
All the wonderful qualities in yourself (that he never appreciated)
You can also think about the things that you can do now, and plan for your future. Don’t worry you will get over him and the sooner you focus on things other than him the sooner this will be.
